Jeff Mielcarz from the Weather Channel came out to Nantucket for a visit. He came along on a Nantucket Adventures Seal Encounter Cruise to Muskeget Island and had so much fun that he shot this piece. It’s been airing this week.
Jeff had a lot of fun on Nantucket and we had a lot of fun meeting him. I’m pretty sure Jeff is going to back on Nantucket for a visit really soon.
Nantucket Adventures and Nantucket Ice Cream / Juice Guys Smoothies are pleased to announce that all of our little shipmates that enjoy a Seal Encounter Cruise with Capt. Schark on the Schark Attack will receive a coupon for a free Schark Attack Snack double scoop at the end of their voyage.
All of our little shipmates will get their coupon and be ready to head over to Straight Wharf to Nantucket Ice Cream to get their free Schark Attack Snack. The only rule is that you need to yell “Seal HO!” before you gobble up your ice cream. It’s a Nantucket Adventures tradition.
The weather has been beautiful and the Seal Encounters on Muskeget Island have been awesome. We’ve been catching tons of fish on our Seal Encounter Cruises to add to the fun.
Sorry for the lack of updates over the 4th but we were running a lot of trips and we managed to get behind on shooting pictures. We had two great trips today… really great trips. The fog keeps coming and going but it’s not stopping the fun on Nantucket Adventures. These photos are really awesome. It was Stephan’s first boat ride. He really loves boats! He had a blast with the seals and we had an even better time watching him learn to love the ocean. Just a great day.
Another foggy morning on Nantucket but the seals are loving it and we’re having one great trip after another. A little fog won’t slow us down. We’re really having some fun trips.
We even stopped on the way home to catch a bunch of bluefish while trolling and on light tackle casting gear. Just a great morning all around.
Who does Nantucket Kids Camp Project Discovery call when they want to get their campers on the water? Nantucket Adventures of course. We are one stop shopping for special events on the water.
Project Discovery wanted a water challenge that would be both fun and educational. We came up with a plan of grouping the campers into teams and sending them off in search of colored buoys that had question cards attached that formed clues. The teams found their buoys, found their clues and then raced over to the beach to the finish line to solve their puzzle. Nantucket Adventures provided the buoy placement and two safety boats to make sure everyone was OK during the race.
On the beach the campers enjoyed some lunch and a little rest time. Swimming and relaxing on the beach was the order of the day until it came time to head back to the starting line. The campers were lined up on the beach with their kayaks ready to go. The race started and the sprint back to the finish line was underway.
All the campers received coupons for an ice cream cookie sandwich at Nantucket Ice Cream on Straight Wharf for a job well done and a race well run.
